15.00

“Black Mass– Collages between Liszt and Bulgakov”

Ilan Bendahan Bitton – Piano | Susanne Krassa – Speaker

Alexander Skrijabin - “Piano Sonata nr. 9 op. 68 “Black Mass“

with text from “Der Meister und Margarita” by Michail Bulgakov, “Faust” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and by Martin Luther

The dramaturgy of the program “Black Mass” deals with the birth of the devil’s child. Initiating with the rite of the mysterious sacrifice, continuing with the sacral divine power as a necessary, but also alienating antithesis, and concluding with the birth of Satan with all his hasty, humorous and destructive characteristics.
